Sofia is a practicing bilingual clinician. She earned a Master's degree from Arizona State University. She has worked as a school-based therapist, delivering services in both English and Spanish, while also supervising clinical fellows and speech therapy assistants. Sofia is the current president of the Hispanic Caucus. Her areas of interest include language disorders in school-age populations, autism spectrum disorder in bilingual speakers, and the use of technology to improve therapy outcomes and access to services.
