A significant portion of school-age children speak languages in addition to English, and SLPs must develop interventions that build on students' language knowledge and that are culturally and linguistically appropriate. This session will explore strategies that use book-based interventions to maximize cross-language transfer, with a focus on semantics, grammar, and narrative development.
