Speech-Language Pathologist

Dr. Dachtyl is a speech-language pathologist and certified brain injury specialist. She works clinically as the Lead SLP within the Sahuarita Unified School District and is a visiting summer faculty at Northern Arizona University, teaching master's level classes in the summers-only program. As part of her clinical work, she designed and runs an academic concussion management protocol, called CoRTEx, which has served over 500 students from preschool through 12th grade. At NAU, she has taught Aphasia/Right Hemisphere Disorders, Motor Speech Disorders, and Traumatic Brain Injury/Dementia. Dr. Dachtyl is currently the Vice President of Speech-Language Pathology for the Arizona Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is a graduate of Michigan State University (Go Green!), Western Michigan University, and the University of Arizona. She has two children with her husband Louis, who is also a speech-language pathologist.
