Hyter is an ASHA Fellow and has expertise in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and globally sustainable practices. She is a co-founder of the Children’s Trauma Assessment Center and co-directs the Resilience Center for Families and Children. She owns Language & Literacy Practices, LLC, which provides culturally/linguistically responsive, trauma-informed, globally sustainable consultations, and is a founding member of the SLHS Equity Action Collective, whose members are transforming SLHS by infusing it with critical science, equity, and social justice.
