This session will explore the impact of culture on stuttering as well as provide a brief overview of evidence-based stuttering treatment. The presenter will discuss cultural considerations with the potential to affect a stuttering assessment as well as innovative stuttering treatment strategies that target communication excellence, self-advocacy, resilience, and stuttering education to reduce the overall negative impact of on the lives of children who stutter.

This session can count toward the ASHA certification maintenance professional development requirement for DEI.
